Marketing with Articles

By Theo McLanahan

Article Marketing is a great tool to use when it comes to adding traffic to your site. If you are not familiar with what it is, Article Marketing is simply writing articles and submitting them to article reprint directories on the web.

In order to get traffic to your website or blog by means of search engine results, it is absolutely essential that your content be well updated and interesting. Article reprint directories are commonly visited by people who want to add content to their website or blog with an article.

When you submit an article to a directory, you are allowing other website owners and bloggers permission to add your article to their site - for free. However, they need to include an 'about the author' box at the end of the article. You get to write what you want included in that box, so include a bit of information about the product or service you offer and include links to your site.

Your information, including a link to your website, will thus be presented to anyone who reads your article. Depending on which bloggers and website owners choose to use your articles, you may be exposing yourself to hundreds, thousands, or even millions of potential customers. That could lead to lots of clicks to your website's link.

A Google search for 'free reprint article directories' will yield a large number of websites that you can use. There are general directories and other more specific ones where all the articles they offer are written on a specific topic, such as health or food.

You don't have to limit yourself to just one directory; feel free to submit your writing to as many as you wish. If you prefer, software is available that will submit articles for you.

Since you could write about literally anything, take the theme of your website into consideration when deciding what your articles should be about. Make your articles appealing to the people that you want to visit your website.

For example, a Tupperware salesperson might choose to write articles about food or even about tips on how to use plastic containers to keep toiletries, screws and nails, and toys organized.

Simple Ways To Increase Website Traffic

By Doug Taylor

Once you have that first website under your belt you may think it is pretty easy to build but you may find getting traffic to it may prove to be somewhat harder. If you spend any time on the Internet you will find plenty of advice that may help you increase website traffic. Choose your source carefully as some of the information you find will be good while some of it could be junk.

This article is going to look at a couple of very simple tips, which should help you, start seeing more visitors to your site. These tips will also have the benefit of actually increasing your rankings in the major search engines.

Tip 1-It is very important to set some realistic goals when planning how much traffic you want your website to get. This goal should be a number that is within reach and not a number you have no hope of reaching. Once you decide how much you want to increase website traffic you can put together a plan to achieve this goal.

Having a particular goal will also help with you being able to measure just how well you are performing and it will determine whether you are succeeding at what you set out to do. Plus having a goal in mind also helps you to decide if you need to change the approach you are using in order for you to direct more traffic to your website or not.

The more specific your goal is the better off you will be. It needs to be able to be measured and it should be a number you think you can attain. These numbers should be realistic and it would be wise to put a time limit on it. An example would be if you now have 10 visitors coming to your site in a day you could set your traffic goals as follows: -

1.The first month you want to see this increased to 100 unique visitors 2. In the second month you want this to then increase to 150 unique visitors 3. While in the third month you want the number of unique visitors to your site to be around 250.

Do not think this will be easy at first. Trying to increase website traffic is hard to achieve.

Tip 2 - It is crucial that you have within your site as much unique content as you possibly can. It is therefore important that you don't put off updating your site each day. Yes it may seem like a lot of hard work but it will surely pay off for you in the end.

The more often that you update your site the more often the search engine spiders will come visit your site. This has worked for some time and will help increase website traffic and keep your visitor coming back to see what is new.
